An elegant solution for a flood-prone environment.
The site, located in the Arts District of the First Ward in Houston, Texas, demanded a practical solution to the ever increasing threat of flooding. The modestly sized 2000 SF single-family residence contains a flood-resistant first floor, workshop/vestibule below light-infused second/third floor living spaces.

POOL CABANA

In a tight geometry, every inch counts. The Pool Cabana took an existing garage and converted it into a seamless interplay between the interior and exterior. Floor to ceiling windows allowed for the structure to become an elegant oasis in the backyard.
